STAY PROGRAM

It is aimed at school children and provides a stay in the farm for 7 days with full board. The programs may be arranged for shorter stays.

The program type provides:

Day 1: Arrival in the farm. Reception and accommodation of the participant to a room. In the afternoon, a brief tour to familiarize guests with the farm structures and to define the rules and work programs. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Breakfast. The morning is dedicated to teaching and performance of farm work, which given the seasonal nature of plants is impossible to define in advance. In principle, it involves a description of the stages in the cultivation of a citrus orchard: the planting, placing a dwelling, grafting, pruning, the thin, irrigation, weeding. Briefly, the concepts of rational fertilization, up to the phases of the collection are set out. Guests will be shown the tools (from the ancient to modern) and become familiar with their uses. Lunch. The afternoon is devoted to sports: soccer and swimming pool. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Breakfast and guided excursions to the archaeological park of Leontinoi with a visit to rock churches. Return to the farm and lunch. The afternoon is dedicated to sports: soccer and swimming pool. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: After breakfast, guests will handle the care of the animals (horses, pigs, chickens and other animals of low court)- cleaning and giving them food to eat. Continue the morning with a brief excursion on foot within the farm near the spring and in the hills that surround the perimeter. It is structured so guests can see and observe the geological, wildlife and native flora. Lunch. The afternoon will be engaged in sporting activities (soccer, ping-pong). Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Breakfast then a visit to a garden with collection of products. Relax in the pool. The afternoon will be devoted to the care of animals. A horse is provided inside the fence. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: After breakfast, a visit to a modern oil mill and / or to an adjacent dairy farm for an explanation of the various stages of processing. The afternoon is devoted to sport (soccer, swimming pool). Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Breakfast and a brief summary of the teaching work. Free morning, lunch and the end of our services.

The price per person is to be agreed with the direction being dependent on the period, the length of stay, number of participants and number of occupants per room.
