Tenuta di Roccadia, is a farmhouse surrounded by greenery, located in a magnificent panoramic position from which it is possible to enjoy a wonderful view of the Gulf of Catania and Mount Etna. The particularly temperate climate in winter and breezy in summer allows the cultivation of citrus fruits from which preserves and liqueurs are handcrafted that can be appreciated at the company.
The Roccadia estate was donated in 1070 by Count Ruggero d’Altavilla to the Cistercian friars who transformed it into a convent. To date, a copy of one of their paintings, the "Madonna di Roccadia" (also known as "Madonna del Melograno") is kept at the fiefdom, the original of this work is instead kept in the small church of Roccadia in Carlentini, in province of Syracuse.
Over time, the fiefdom has undergone a renovation and adaptation work that has transformed the structure into a charming farmhouse that offers its guests twenty standard and comfort rooms, located in different areas of the company.
Among the farmhouses in Sicily, the Tenuta di Roccadia is well known for the quality of the services offered, in particular for the possibility of tasting genuine typical foods and being in contact with the farm animals (horses, pigs, cows, goats, sheep ...).
